I originally grew up in the Okanogan Valley of north central Washington. As a teenager, my family moved to southern Idaho and at 18 I enlisted in the Army. During my time in the Army, I earned my BA in History from Boise State University and earned my commission as an officer. I served in various locations around the country and served 4 tours in Iraq in various leadership roles. My final four years in the Army I served as a Project Manager on a $10 Billion weapons defense program. During this time, I also earned my MBA and a subsequent M.S. in Finance.
I discovered I had a strong passion for financial planning and providing financial advice. This led me to the financial industry as I transitioned out of the Army. Over the last 7 years I have focused on financial education and helping people develop strong financial plans that will successfully carry them through their retirement years. I currently hold my Series 7, Series 66 and Life and Disability Insurance licenses. I am also a Certified Plan Fiduciary Advisor (CPFA).
My wife and I recently moved from Coeur D’Alene, Idaho to Ferndale, Washington. I have four kids ranging in age from 12 to 26. We greatly enjoy traveling and exploring outdoors. The Bellingham area is great as two of my greatest passions can be enjoyed nearby, Scuba Diving and Snowboarding. I also love to play golf when time permits.
