Tanisha Stewart

I was born in Great Falls, MT and moved to Seattle when I was 3 years old. My hubby and I have 6 beautiful children that consist of 3 boys and 3 girls, ages 11, 9 (x2), 7, 3 and 1. We also have a 3-year-old Siberian Husky named Journey who is very much one of the kids.

My career goal has always been to find something that will always allow growth. If you’re not actively growing, you become complacent and stagnant. At that point I feel you are just cheating yourself out of the many stages of elevation in life. I have worked in an array of trades that all come to one category: helping others. I started in customer service in the beauty industry/retail and ended up becoming a licensed beautician. I then transitioned into childcare where I began as an assistant teacher swiftly moving into the Director position. The importance of that role and running the center opened my mind to the possibilities of what I am capable of. I helped changed parent’s lives by providing my best for their most prized possessions-their children. As rewarding as that job was, I yearned for more. I wanted to do more, help more, learn more and eventually I found my way here. This career change will allow me to now help families, but I can take everything I gain here and apply to my life for the benefit off my family.

 As a “live every moment like it’s your last” type of woman, dance parties are pretty much mandatory in our house, there is never a dull moment with my bunch. I love to laugh and make corny jokes and I especially love to draw and do diamond dot art because it helps me decompress after a stressful day. I look forward to being able to travel more and show my children the world. We do drive back to Montana almost yearly (ROAD TRIP!) and get to do more outdoorsy activities as a family. One of my most favorite but terrifying adventures is when we get out on the river in kayaks, rafts and inner tubes. We make a whole day of it and usually end it with a big family BBQ. As much as I want to enjoy the water and outdoors, I am very much a city girl and get rattled easily but I try to stay open and give my kids all the memorable experiences. We are BIG on family, and we love to make a celebration out of everything. I work endlessly to keep the magic alive in my kiddo’s lives. To see them smile and to hear them laugh gives me the warmest feeling.
